I saw this pin on Pinterest about Blind Book Dating and thought that would be AMAZING to try. Now starting day two of wrapping books in red paper I wonder…What was I thinking?! This is too much work!
Trying to cut out the square for the bar-code, trying to come up with the descriptors (and having not read the book) has become a little daunting! I just keep telling myself this will work, this will work J
My plan is to Blind Date with a Book for a week starting February 9th-13th. The only rule I have is that the kids need to take the books home and at least try to read some of it. This is for two reasons:
1. I don’t want to see all my hard work in wrapping the book literally thrown in the trash- and then the student returning it because of the cover J
2. They picked the book because there was something on the card that interested them…they should at least give it a shot J
My teachers seem excited about this. I’m hoping my students like it. I’ll keep you posted J
